The GW Quarry is located on South Road, Ulverstone. Our operation predominantly produces high quality silica based, road base products.
These include: Sub Base, Base Coarse, Drainage Rock, Decorative Rock and Packing Sand.
Most product is produced through our own screening plant with our Base A Mix and Decorative Rock produced by Fieldwicks Crushing and Screening. All Sub Base and Base Coarse products are tested and graded by NATA registered company ADG Laboratries, based at Ulverstone. The GW Quarry currently supplies customers including: Councils, Civil Companies (small and large), Forestry Industries, Farmers, Local Businesses and the General Public.
GW’s goal is to grow this side of the business into the future. The position of the quarry, right on the Bass Highway makes it a perfect location, being central means many customers are able to save on cartage costs. We have had very positive feedback on our product from all of our customers.
